Employment Opportunities for Housekeepers

Mmmarvellous homes are looking for the best domestic cleaners who can elevate themselves to being a housekeeper for our clients.

You can work on a full time or part time basis as a self employed cleaner, by providing us with your availability and areas you can travel to for work we shall match you to the homes suited to you. Experience is ideal and good verbal and written skills are required to communicate with your client.

  • 1. Initial telephone interview
    This interview is designed for us to get you know you a little better, if you are successful then we shall invite you to attend our Induction Course.
  • 2. The Induction Course
    Held at our office is approx 2 hrs long covering our expectations and a practical test in cleaning. At this point you should come with ID, proof of address and two references who are happy for Mmmarvellous to contact them. At the end of the course you will be provided with our Housekeepers Information Booklet.
  • 3. Home Interview
    Another interview will be conducted in your home, confirming your residency, availability and a written test on items covered in the course.

At the end of this process if you are successful we shall then provide you with work on an ongoing basis.

Mmmarvellous will continue to support you in your role by visiting you at each home you work in every 6 months and the office is contactable during the working week.

Once you are a registered housekeeper with Mmmarvellous the team will continue to help and support you in your role.

Our expectations of you:

Work in the clients' home under their direction with due care and diligence.

Inform the office and your clients at least two weeks prior to any holiday of your absence. Establish if your clients require cover or not whilst you are away and if you have keys to their home do they require you to pass them over to the cover housekeeper. If your clients do not require cover and you have the keys these should be returned to the office for safe keeping whilst you are away.

Keep in contact with the office concerning any alterations in days and hours you are working at your client's home.

What you can expect from Mmmarvellous

Continual office support during the working week.

Six monthly visits from a member of the Mmmarvellous team at each of the homes you are working in, giving the opportunity to receive training and guidance plus discuss any issues you maybe having at the client's home.

Insurance cover for any accidental damage to items you may break, however terms and conditions are applied to incidents – please see your Housekeepers Information booklet for further information.
